What is STEPS?
STEPS is an annual event that brings together over 100 young parents, as well as over 30 local organizations and agencies serving young parents! The event is planned by and for young parents, and strives to connect the young parent community to new information, new resources and new friends. Most importantly, the primary goal of STEPS is to celebrate and honor the success of every young parent attendee! The day consists of FREE workshops, FREE resources, FREE food, FREE prizes and lots of FREE fun!
Can I Bring Someone?
Yes! We encourage you to bring a partner or friend, especially if they are a young parent too! Spread the word!
Can Adults Come?
Each young parent can bring a support person with them for the event (it doesn’t matter if they bring a fellow young person or an older adult). However, we ask that adults refrain from coming without a young parent attendee. If you aren’t a current young parent but are interested in getting involved in Stronger Generations then please reach out to us to hear more about our other community events!
Do I Need to Speak English?
The majority of the event will be English speaking, however we will have a bi-lingual English/Spanish staff, and multiple translated (English-Spanish) workshops.
